Dr. Gomes is an exceptional doctor. He was both of my boys’ doctor from birth. We’ve moved states away and still think back to his reassuring, calm demeanor. He’s the type of doctor to place your trust in, to listen to- he doesn’t overreact and truly considers the whole child when making recommendations. He soothed not only our children’s medical ailments, but also our hearts as young parents. My youngest had some challenges as an infant, and Dr. Gomes’ instincts ultimately led us to help our son get back on a healthy track and thrive. I send up a prayer for him each birthday that my youngest has. He was also supportive of our vegetarian, extended breastfeeding and hip healthy baby wearing choices.

Dr. Gomes is the absolute best!!! My 4-year-old son came in for a high fever that could have easily been misdiagnosed as a side effect from the MMR shot that he received the week prior. I was so worried about my son because he did not seem like himself and was sent home from school that day due to his fever. But, Dr. Gomes took the time to examine my son and suggested additional testing to determine the true cause of his illness. It turns out that my son tested positive for the flu. Dr. Gomes prescribed my son antibiotics and sent us home feeling very confident in his diagnosis and his care. Thankfully, my son is feeling much better now and I am so glad we went to see Dr. Gomes! My son has been Dr. Gomes' patient since he was a baby and Dr. Gomes has always provided A+ patient care. Thank you for always taking care of us Dr. Gomes!!!

Went in to have a wound on my child's leg evaluated. We were under the assumption she had been stung by a jellyfish. We waited for almost an hour past the appointment and I peaked my head out the door to ask for an ETA. The doctor came in five minutes later and started touching the wound without gloves. When I asked him to put gloves on, he lashed out and said, "You're the one rushing me." I said regardless of the time scale, I need you to operate in a safe manner. He then got upset said she needs to go to the ER to have the bone x-rayed. Asked if that was necessary and showed him she can jump up and down pain free, and she was even laughing as she jumped. I told him we were concerned that there might be a secondary infection not a bone break. He said he wasn't concerned about an infection, but that she may have a broken leg. He said that was his recommendation and then went on and said, "but of course you know more than me right, you're the doctor, you're the one with all the answers, and then he began to walk out. I said I would like the wound to be cleaned because he had touched it, and he said we don't do that here. I said "it needs to be clean because you touched it with your bare hands." He said, the nurse will come and clean it. I would suggest that the doctor learn to be ok with patients asking questions. Gone are the days where people follow blindly.

Update we took her to the ER, and they literally laughed at the fact that doctor Gomes said her leg was broken. They said a three year old would not be able to jump up and down with a smile on her face if her leg was broken. They didn't even take an X-ray, but instead they prescribed antibiotics for a small skin infection.

Dr. Gomes was my pediatrician for 18 years. My parents really hit the jackpot with Dr. Gomes, so much so that I was very opposed to finding a new PCP, despite being too old to still be going to a pediatrician. Dr. Gomes has this serene and calming aura to him that made visits less daunting and scary for a child. As I got older, I began to realize how knowledgeable, professional, and caring he was to his patients. I am so grateful to him and his staff for providing me with exceptional care back then. And now, I find myself grateful for the fond nostalgic moments that encapsulate my time under Dr. Gomes’ care. They remind me of my childhood years, evoking a sense of fond nostalgia from when I was just a kid, without a care in the world. To Dr. Gomes and his staff: thank you for making routine appointments a tranquil experience for childhood me. And for being a small part of the childhood memories I so fondly cherish.

We have been taking our 5 children to Dr. Gomes for 5 years. He is engaging with the children, thorough in his work, and listens (and addresses) any concerns we have. Our youngest has Down Syndrome and Dr. Gomes has been a great source of information and help with services for our daughter in particular. My husband and I have been impressed with all of the specialists Dr. Gomes has recommended to us. I have also recommended him to any of our friends in the area who are looking for a pediatrician. The office staff and medical assistants are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
