Dr. Echeveria performed a hernia repair surgery on me March 2024.
I am 100% dissatisfied with my experience with him.
He never explained to me what he was going to do. He came into the pre op room at 6 a.m., never introduced himself to me, with a mask on and scrubs, with a marker to circle where he was going to preform the surgery. I asked him a question and he grumbled., you are a smoker and walked out of my room.
I have had many complications since the surgery. I have Seroma 10 months later. It is still uncomfortable and my stomach has never been the same.
I do not recommend him.
Furthermore, I was told by his staff that this was outpatient surgery on 2 occasions. Pre op at St. Joseph Hospital told me that most people that have this surgery spend a night in the hospital. I had someone waiting to pick me up and ended up spending 2 nights in the hospital due to pain. I saw a physician assistant while admitted and she kept me to get me out of pain. What she gave me for pain worked. The next day a different assistant came in, discharged me with totally different pain medication. I suffered for weeks.

Love the way the Dr Echevarria makes you feel confident and he explains everything so clear. The must important part of your journey in the process is that he always gives you options and let you decide what is best for you. Dr Echevarria is a great doctor. God Bless him!

The BayCare staff at the hospital took such great care of me and with Dr. Echevarria I knew I was in good hands; he’s a very knowledgeable expert in what he does, direct and straight to the point but he truly cares about his patients.

What can I say but nearly pure perfection! I'm checking to exit it. Truly pleasant & professional experience. Dr. E may just be the most patient, knowledgeable, intuitive and truthful doctor I have ever had the experience of visiting with. Let me tell you, that is a lot of doctors having played football for 17 years and experience 13 surgeries & 4 total joint replacements and a gastric sleeve over the last six years. He has a second to none and stands heading above all others. It's a true pleasure to be able to visit with him gain some of his insight, and listen to a proper way to address issues or listen to him give me accolades for doing the right thing and not coming in a big ball of mess. I hope that last part makes sense. In other words, when you see him in you're healthy, and things are going well, both physically and mentally, he takes great pride in that and he shows it to you directly. I would recommend them without question hesitation. Have a great day.

Dr. Echevarria couldn't have been nicer. He took his time with me and was caring and concerned, explaining everything in detail and answering all my questions. As well, his gal Rachel was right there to give immediate attention and was quick to follow up. I am well pleased.

Dr. Echevarria, Alex and all the staff here are wonderful. Always enjoy seeing Doc. Easy going, friendly, honest, understanding and most important capable. Love this office and in great hands. Oh, and if you ever get the pleasure of meeting or speaking to Jasmine at the health center and Michelle at St.joes amazing amazing as well!! 🙂
