Products on sale, go quickly and there are no rain checks because the clerk had the biggest question mark on their face!? The stores are stocked to the barest possible, small metro, small stock room, small stores. Items on sale cannot be purchased online, unable to honor coupons for sale items. Abundant of non-sale items available to choose from.

These products are made in Malaysia and for the most part, products are good but don't last l. They are essential if you need a quick tool. I'm updating with a 4 star review because it's a good company with good people and pretty decent products

This is a great store in general, not this specific location, but Harbor freight in general

Prices are great.

However, at this location, every time I come in, I have to do a search and rescue to find someone to help me on the floor.

This particular day I came in the store when all the way to the back of the store walked down each aisle, looking for someone and then I had to exclaim, “ Is there anybody here?

I did that at the back of the store where I heard people stocking hoping someone could hear me.

Then a male employee who was coming in on shift asked me if he could help me and I told him I was looking for some assistance, but I can’t find anybody on the floor. I told him this happens almost every time I come in here and it’s not the first time..he denied it.

He then told me it doesn’t happen all the time and all you gotta do is go to the front of the store, and he told me that I was making a scene and it was unnecessary. At that point, he was about to get cussed all the way out.

Then another Customer interjected into the situation, and I told them to mind their business, and then the employee told me that I was making a scene for no reason as if it was normal to have NOBODY on the floor to assist customers.

Listen, they need to train their employees with some common sense. If you are conducting a shift change or if somebody is busy, and you see a customer that needs help, just tell the customer that you need to get situated and that you will come right back. Do not try to patronize us as customers and give us excuses.

Then, when I asked the employee, if it was normal that a store not have anybody on the floor to help customers, he says they do have people on the floor and that I need to go upfront.

So let me get this straight, I’m all the way in the back of the store and I need to go all the way to the front of the store to interrupt a cashier to ask them for help because nobody’s on the floor?

No matter how nice people talk, you can still give attitude as an employee in a low voice. It’s called being passive aggressive.

At the end of the day, if there is an issue, explain to the customer what’s going on, apologize, and square of the customer away. Reaffirm the customer and then take care of the customer.

Don’t sit there and go back-and-forth with a customer like this employee did, giving excuses with a smug face, telling me I’m making a scene and steady running his mouth.

By the way, I knew this was going to happen, and I walked away from the employee and told him I was good and he kept running his mouth, which is why I’m writing this post and the situation went from bad to worse.

Employees need to be trained to defuse the situation, how to properly communicate with customers, how to not make excuses when the customer brings up an issue, and how to not blame the customer for the store’s inconvenience or problem.

Then if I had a cussed him out, and really made a scene, then they would be looking at me as the customer like I’m a problem, when it could’ve been taken care of in five minutes.

-Bad customer service on the floor.

-Always have to conduct search operations to find someone to help on the floor.

-Dirty restrooms

-Privileged employees who blame the customer when things go wrong.

Great store, bad customer service experience.

Good prices. Friendly staff. Some decent quality tools, some not so good stuff. Do your research. Can get some amazing deals with their coupons.

Normally I'd give 5 stars, but why 4 stars?

- Shipping is usually an arm and a leg, so much better to pick up in store.
- warranties are usually pretty bad compared to other name brands
- many items have restocking fees
- they need to streamline their online ordering and store pickup experience
- they should have an in store map to find items that their online site says is in stock

So room for improvement. But still beats Amazon and other stores for a lot of stuff. Just make sure to do your research as some stuff here are really good deals and good quality, and other stuff is cheap junk and you are better off with Amazon or name brands
