Came from Vincents Hospital after a bowel cancer operation. Had assumed incorrectly, that I would have access to a Dietician as I was quite ill. No dietician. Everybody looked at me as if I was a freak, as everything I ate, went straight through me. I left there having eaten most night, easy singles crackers and mozzarella cheese swimming in water. Sad story but true.

Four Ferns is an exceptional nursing home where the staff go that extra mile for patients. It is the little acts of kindness and thoughtfulness by the staff that make Four Ferns so special. My mum has been here for 1year now and the care she has received has been excellent. I would highly recommend this nursing home to anyone looking for somewhere to care for an elderly family member.

I can't praise everyone at the Four Ferns enough. My dad spent just over two months here on respite and everyone was so nice. The care he received was exceptional. The food was very good, the beautiful room kept spotlessly clean. Not to mention his every whim catered for. I would unreservedly recommend the Four Ferns to anyone.

So utterly disappointed by the four ferns and been honest quite worried for residents who can not speak up for themselves and there are quite a lot with dementia etc. A family member was given two weeks respite and after only a week refused to stay any longer as he woke up starving constantly! One supper consisted of one sausage and 14 peas! His evening cup of tea was also hit and miss and when he questioned if he would receive one was gruffly told to get back into his room and the tea never arrived! When I rang up to speak to him and enquire about him I was told he was loving his stay l, he was so delighted with life! I was told he was at an activity (that he hadn’t attended) and that’s why I could
Not contact him, only to get a call from him distraught the next morning! He went a whole week left unwashed and wasn’t checked on at all! His wound that requires dressing wasn’t checked and he was absolutely miserable! Needless to say he came home and was so put off that he will not be going back for his approved respite in July!! So disappointing!! It’s great having a lovely looking building with amenities but isn’t it just disgusting that that seems to be all on offer! I would very strongly suggest a report be carried out by to ensure all patients are been fed appropriately and given attention they require but this was not our experience! Very poor service!

Had the pleasure of visiting a relative here recently. It has a wonderful ambience. It was spotlessly clean and the most pleasant, friendly staff. It's such a lovely place with a warm welcome. My relative loves it there...and I can see why now.

The place looks lovely and very modern but the receptionist(young girl, bigger size) is an absolute rude and impolite person. She was very displeased by me and my family being there, it looked like it was better if she was not to be bothered, even if that was her job. She was walking around bossing staff around while eating chocolate. She should really work on her attitude and the way she treats visitors

My Mum has been here for the last year or so. I find the staff extremely helpful and polite and the place is 21st Century and fit for purpose. Comfortable rooms and plenty of activities. Our family is always kept well informed of upcoming events and/or issues. I'd rate it pretty highly.

Amazing staff in a fabulous facility. I could not fault the team with their kindness and care. My father was admitted in a close to dying state and is now better than ever
