Dr. Hong is truly amazing!! He is very knowledgeable, so professional, very up to date in the latest trends in his field! For a person who is the director of the cardio program at seton hospitals, Dr. hong is so amazingly humble and down to earth! He took elaborate efforts to explain a lot of medical terms to a non- medical person like me and put our minds to ease by answering all our questions thoroughly. Very kind, considerate, compassionate person. He is so efficient in handling emergencies and routine processes. He has a great personality and sense of humor that puts patients at ease. My mother who is a senior citizen had a seamless surgical and recovery process! He followed up with her many times before and after the cardiac surgery. Mother felt so cared and well taken care of! Dr. Hong’s support staff/ nurses were also extremely efficient, supportive. Nurse Emily Suplee was always available to us via phone. Nurse Holly spent a lot of time with us explaining all the nuances involved in surgery-after care. Assisting doctors Yusuf and dr. Momin also advised my mom elaborately on her medicines etc. Staff Kelly is also available and on top of monitoring Medtronic reports. With Dr. Hong and his team my mom felt she was in the best hands!

Dr. Hong performed an ablation on my heart for atrial flutter and inserted a linq heart monitor in my chest that has tracked my heart for over two years. It has given me great reassurance and the ablation was 100% successful! I’m very grateful to Dr. Hong for his expertise!
