On behalf of a neighbour, who I assisted on return of a new lawnmower, the owner Mr. Sweeting was truly amazing in expediting service. To assist the customer, pickup and delivery was done at no charge. I have always recommended Home Hardware, our Canadian company for shopping. This is the place to go for good value and service. Thank you for all your assistance. Customer is fully satisfied and happy.

Bought Beautitone Rust Coat. Followed the instructions precisely. Rust came back 1 week later. Called to return. Brent told me it’s not meant to cover rust. According to the website and paint can it is. Brent belittled me made me feel uncomfortable for trying to return. After a lengthy discussion he conceded and said “Just bring it in then”. Found out I can’t return to my local store. Drove all the way out to Lakefiled. I explained that rust came back. Adam said no problem it’s obviously defective. Returned without the lecture that Brent gave me. Chemong manager was already informed of the situation with Brent which I found interesting. She apologized thank you. I suggest not communicating with Brent. I don’t suggest using this product for rust as per Brent. FYI you can only return products to the original store. Long time customer ofHome Hardware and the Chemong store. I will not be returning to this location for my future needs. I cannot select zero stars. So much for the Home Owners Garrantee.

Visited this store on May 21st - a large store with lots of selection. Upon entering I was greeted by a young man who offered to take to what I was looking for. I declined but it was nice customer service. I was met by Emily in the BBQ department and she answered my questions professionally and gave me the pro’s and con’s of each. Refreshing to get such great customer service . Well done. I can certainly recommend this location for all your building needs or items for your home.

Excellent customer service! When the contractors were unable to meet the job timelines, the team at Chemong Home Hardware went above and beyond by picking up the unused materials and returning them to the store with no hassle. They handled the situation professionally and with compassion, making a stressful experience much easier to manage. I really appreciate their flexibility, understanding, and efficiency. Highly recommend this store for both their products and their outstanding service!

I am upgrading my recent post per my latest experience. I finally received the tool back and the leak returned overnight, however, when I returned again, Chemong Home Hardware did not hesitate to replace the entire saw head along with an added bonus. I really appreciated this response as I have been putting off some much needed yard work. Thank you for looking after your customers! See you again!! I purchased a Stihl pole pruner in 2024. Used a few times and it leaked bar oil. No problem, it happens. I brought the tool in the first week of May 2025 to be looked over and see where the leak was coming from. Turns out it's a leaky valve, no big deal its under warranty. It's now the first week of Aug 2025 and I still don't have my tool back and they have no idea when they will return my tool. The first month and a half they were so swamped they couldn't look at the tool. Now for the second month and a half they have been waiting on Stihl to approve the warranty claim. I have never had such poor service in my life, honestly. If they are so swamped with repairs people may want to stay away from buying power tools from Chemong Home Hardware. Quality seems questionable. I have many Stihl products and always buy from the same establishment (not Chemong HH). I have taken these products back to this establishment for repair and have had them back within 2 weeks no problem. I only bought from Chemong Home Hardware for convenience on my way to the cottage. Never again will I buy another tool from Chemong Home Hardware.

Looking for paint for your house? Look no further. It’s not just the paint - you can buy it anywhere- it’s the people helping you that make the difference. You can’t get better help than here. I want to thank Doug Dunlop- Paint & Colour Expert - for his expertise in answering questions and steering me in the right direction. I came back 3 times for more paint samples and he was always cheerful and encouraging. (that accent wall was difficult to pin down for the final colour but we finally did it ! ). Thank you for your patience Doug!

We hired Chemong Home Hardware to replace our deck. They tore down and removed the old deck and built an amazing replacement. Jeff was a pleasure to deal with and organized everything down to the letter. Huge shout out to Sang and Desiree for the attention to detail! They truly crafted us a new deck going above and beyond what we expected adding many finishing touches.

Absolutely TERRIBLE service in paint dept today. Know-it-all Doug, talked your store out of a sale.
Unbelievably condescending conversation with Doug, he needs to understand that this store services, not only Professional workers but unskilled regular people just doing their best to try and fix their home. Not sure if I'll ever shop at this store again.
He talked down to me so much, my cheeks actually turned red. Worst experience I think I've ever had in a store.
