I would give it a 3.5 to a 4.....my latest appt was at 130 but I sat there until 245 before being called back - the actual one on one with the doctor lasted about 10/15 min MAX! Not saying he's not a good doctor but I feel like he diagnosed my problem a little too quickly based on what I told him and even then, not only was he focusing on something that was a byproduct of my original problem but was too quick (in my opinion) to not inquire more about the area I was having the most pain! Everything was determined via questions and no hands on testing was done (checking for swelling, inflammation, range of motion, etc ) - they're way too busy for it to be just the doctor and one receptionist! I have a feeling that a lot of the patients/clients that come in there are referrals from doctors that have a little system going vs the patients being clients due to word of mouth, him hustling them up or actually gaining them because he provides good service! I don't need or see an ortho surgeon in a regular basis so I can deal with the issues I have that directly correlate to the rating I gave

My mother went to Dr. Wong multiple times due to a dr’s referral and she only had medi-cal at the time so she was limited with her options. She had an awful experience every time. Long wait times regardless of your appointment. She came in with pain and he never referred her for X-ray. He just referred her for physical therapy which only made her pain worse. 3 months later they wanted her back and still, no progress. He also rushed through the exam because they overbook clients (specifically older Vietnamese clients who don’t know any better or have no other options due to their medi-cal). Thankfully my mom was able to pay for insurance and get in with a different doctor that FINALLY remedied her pain with surgery and actual care that she needed. I would steer clear of this doctor if you can.

My dad just had a total knee replacement about 3 weeks ago. Although he couldn't stand up and walk the next day as expected, I am grateful for Dr. Wong's superb surgical skills. My dad's knee is getting better every day. No infection and the pain is getting less as days pass. Dr. Wong is patient, competent, and has a good bedside manner. The long wait to see him at the office is a good indicator of his expertise.

My 96 yr old very independent mother fell and broke her femur. Dr Wong had her wait 6 days in pain to perform surgery as no openings in surgical. Reading after the fact it states elderly patients need to be operated on within 3 hrs to 2 days. To lay with a broken femur is inhumane. By the time he did surgery he said she would’ve standing in 2 days. What a lie!!!! She was so weak lying in bed for a week and now a week after surgery w a rod in her leg w screws. He only came many days later to talk to nurses not connecting to her. She is now ina rehab hospital and it has been 4 weeks. She is so weak and frail after this experience with him and Oconners. She went in an as an independent strong woman and because of his indiference and complacency by not performing immediate surgery, she is so weakened and working hard to return to herself. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere than Oconners

So unorganized doesn’t matter if you have an appt they make you wait long.
They had to fill out my dads disability paper she told him to go back in 2 weeks to pick up, he did and she didn’t even know where the paper was she said it wasn’t ready took them like 6 weeks to fill it out they only had it ready because my dad said I’ll be here this day at this time to pick it up you better have it ready and they still charged him $60 just to fill it out turns out we’re not the only ones who it has happened to there was another lady there too who they were doing the same thing to

If you are looking to have multiple surgeries and infections Dr. Wong would be a great choice if you want a surgery to be done correctly the first time around I highly recommended going to another Dr. My father ended up in The ER on a Tuesday afternoon he was sent over to O’Conner in an ambulance. Once he was seen and they did an X-ray they noticed that he had a broken knee cap and needed emergency surgery. The surgery was scheduled on Wednesday morning and then they canceled it and made it for Thursday evening which the doctor was an hour and a half late for. My mother was waiting all night to hear back from the doctor to get an update on how the surgery went…she never received a call. When my mother was able to confront the doctor regarding the call he stated he called and once confirmed he was calling my father's cell phone…REALLY! Finally, for my father's third surgery, we had gotten him out of the nightmare of a hospital and out of the hands of an incompetent doctor. There was a metal wire poking out that was causing an infection and after speaking to Dr. Wong he stated that “he should leave it there for a while” REALLY!! My father went over and had his third surgery at El Camino hospital where the highly skilled doctor was able to start the whole process over. The doctor had to completely restart the surgery and cleaned out the scar tissue and infection that was formed from the first two failed operations. This was a night and day difference in approach. Unfortunately, I had to give a 1 star instead of 0.

Fantastic doctor. I broke my clavicle quite badly and Dr Wong performed my initial consult, operation and 2-week check up. Very professional, reassuring and friendly. Extremely knowledgeable with all the questions I asked and I feel good about my progress with the surgery.

Also very helpful with my insurance situation; I’m changing providers and Dr Wong will be out of network, he gave me all the info I need to continue the check ups going forward.

Most reviews here seem to be giving 1 star based on how long they were in his waiting room. This isn’t fair, his google rating is for him as a doctor and not his offices organisation skills. I would say you should expect to be in his waiting room for 30-45 mins after you arrive, which isn’t ideal, but allow plenty of time around your appointment and your care will be stellar.

My mom broke arm , he did surgery good. When we went to appt , they are not organize, take one hr and half to wait outside and inside. Take awhile for him to find the paper and asked us when did my mom had surgery date. They need to improve their service in the office. Take too many patients in a day and take too much time for not organize...will done in 2 hrs and half.. too bad they not respect clients time...
