The Dr is a good Dr. The pulmonary testing tech is great. The staff treated me rudely, was very patronizing & very fake. Pretend to help, but really did not. Getting meds & nebulizer for my COPD since diagnosed with covid was very difficult though this staff. Instead I called my primary care Dr 3 hrs away & got my much needed nebulizer & meds. 3 days later & was STILL trying to get it from staff at Dr Ackerman office. If you've had covid having to deal with this was like torture to me & you'd understand. My insurance company told me that the company the Dr called was not covered by my ins. When I called Dr to tell them this & also that the CVS they called for meds didn't have them till Sunday, the staff member asked if I expected her to check on "all" of this for me. She's talking to a person with covid copd not breathing well & that is how I was treated among other things.

It took me almost 3 months to get my 1st appointment and thought about going somewhere else for an evaluation about my breathing issues but I waited ..and am glad I did. I’m the type of person who asks a lot of questions and wants to understand everything that’s going on with my health. A lot of doctors don’t like to be questioned ..they would rather tell someone what to do. Dr Ackerman was absolutely wonderful listening and understanding my concerns. So far he’s been wonderful. I truly like his personality and approach. He is to the point but addresses all of my concerns and issues. Thumbs up!
