Dr. Hehmann is a wonderful doctor who assisted my husband after his stroke. He really listens and answers all questions thoroughly. He is supportive and kind and always puts his patients first. We saw him daily in the hospital and afterward for office visits. We are fortunate to have him in Montrose. His office staff were also very kind and helpful.

Worst office staff I have ever encountered in my life. I had to wait a month to get in which I guess is normal. I was patient and waited for this day only to have the office staff worry about money more than me as a patient. I was informed by the office staff while checking in that they do not have a credit card machine and I would be required to pay cash or check. First of all they never mentioned this when setting the appointment so I came up with a reasonable solution. I told her I could send them a payment as soon as I returned home because I would have to go get money at my bank out of town. They advised me that I would have to go to an ATM to get cash and come back. Ridiculous, my bank is 20 miles away (which means a 40 mile drive both ways) and were they going to pay my ATM fees if I used a local ATM? Probably not. Seriously, you are behind the times. I cannot trust a doctor who is more worried about his money than my headache. I walked out before the appointment because if his staff is like this, how would the rest of the visit be? I have no patience for office staff who do not do their jobs in advising your patient ahead of time of your policy on payment. They best not charge me or my insurance. I have informed both of my insurances and my Primary doctor of their actions. By the time I walked out I was beyond livid and they had the nerve to even call me twice after I left and said I was done with their practice walking out the door. I had to block their number to get the calls to stop. Due to the horrible experience, I had to start over and go to my Primary care doctor to refer me again to someone else where I will again have to wait a month. I had to drive 40 miles for this appointment to only be a waste of time. Do not go here!!!

Dr Hehmann is a wonderful doctor. He is incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate. He takes the time to listen to you is very personable. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who is in need of a neurologist. I have only had good experiences with him and his staff.
