Dr. Jahangiri performed an epidural on my wife a couple of months ago. First, he didn't do it correctly so only half of her pelvis was effected by the medication, leaving her in agonizing pain in the right side of her lower body. When we notified him of this he said he would be there in 5 minutes but took another 2 hours to come back in to check on her to try to fix the problem. He had to redo the whole thing cause he screwed up the first time. That helped a little, but didn't fully get the job done either. (I know by comparison to our first daughters birth from 2 years before.

When our first daughter was born (at the same hospital) we also had an epidural (done by the same anesthesiologist group). We paid $1500 at the hospital, were told thats all we would pay and then later got a bill for an extra $1500. I begrudgingly paid that bill because I just figured the billing department screwed up and told me the wrong thing. Well this time I was told the same thing. So we paid the extra $1500 upfront for the epidural. Well this time (again, same hospital same anesthesiologist group, different doctor) we were sent an additional bill from Dr. Jahangiri for $6000! Yes, the doctor who kept screwing up charged us 4X what his colleague charged! I called and explained that we don't have insurance and I was willing to pay him the $1500 that I paid his colleague. Well I got hung up on... Stay away from this guy!
