As per Andy Atkins review below - The lady on reception was GLACIAL with me. I'd rather buy a new drill then to have my old one repaired by these folks.

During these challenging times when so many local business' are struggling and e-business is hammering them, I have a hard time accepting such a cold reception.

At least on-line I don't have to deal with a glacial-why-are-you-calling-us receptionist.

It leaves me with very little sympathy for business' that choose to put staff with no people skills at reception.

No thanks Mytek. I'll go elsewhere.

If I could copy and paste the review a couple down I would do so. The guy is the rudest guy I ever have dealt with.

I had a Milwaukee impact drill that needed some work. He accused me of dropping the drill and would not even look at it. The only difference with the review two down is my kids were not with me so I did have the opportunity to give him a piece of my mind. Mind you it probably didn’t phase him. because of his rudeness he must get told off daily.

I went to the Milwaukee service centre on Gladwin Cres and got fabulous service. Anyone in need go there and don’t give this guy the business. When his pockets run dry maybe he’ll see the light

Very interesting experience with the tool and the shop.

I admit that I am guilty fond of collecting tool, powered or manual. Couple of months ago, I bought a power drain cleaning tool from Ridgid after researching several different tools online, since the manual one failed to clear the blockage too far down the kitchen drain. It's a tool easy to use, there is a forward and there is a backward and there is a guiding hose which is nice. There is also a reverse which they say don't use it unless you're really desperate. It did the job, but at the end when I want to retrieve the cable, it didn't want to go in, then I realized it didn't go forward or backward anymore. I read the manual, it says that you could open the casing to rewind the cable, but when I call the customer service, I was told I could bring it to the shop to get it fixed. That sound simpler, so I went to the shop on the Friday before the Civic long weekend and they're closed because it's a holiday on Monday. Not a big deal, a lot of small companies do have this perk for their employees. I went in again after couple of weeks and was told it will be fixed in couple of weeks, which is also fine since my issue was already fixed.

Yesterday, I got a call saying the tool is ready to be picked up, so I went in to do so and that's when it's getting interesting. The technician seemed to be very angry with me, accusing me not using the tool properly and telling me to go back to home depot asking for a demonstration since he only sells tools, he doesn't do demo. So I argued a little saying I think it's a tool very simple and easy to use, why do I need a demonstration? The guy got more upset telling me that I was wasting his time, matter of fact, in the short less than 5 mins conversation with him, he told me at least 3 times that I was wasting his time. He told me they fixed the tool, which I believe it's true, but I am not confident that the cable won't tangle again. When it happens again, I probably will just try to rewind it myself instead of going to the shop to be judged as an incompetent person (or woman?) I am not trying to play the racist or sexist card, but I don't appreciate people draw conclusions without base and being rude. Will I buy another Ridgid tool? I am not sure, though they have lifetime warranty, do I really want to face a hostile technician whenever the tool stopped working?

If your here for Milwaukee, turn around and drive down the street! I was directed here by my box store for repairs to my brushless Milwaukee tools. Pour quality service and the entire time I was left with the impression that since i wasnt a regular contractor, i was bothering them. When i came to pick up the battery after being repaired the guy literally put it on the counter and was walked away. I got a recycled battery that was referbed i think. Also, writing this because i went to the new Milwaukee service centre after and was blown away by the great service, giving me tips on tool maintenance and actually straight swapped another failing battery with a new one off the shelf no questions asked.

Useless!
Brought my husbands Milwaukee Grinder here OVER A MONTH AGO, to find out the warranty doesn’t cover this type of “damage” but they would fix it for $60. No. We told them we would pick it up. Go to pick it up, and it’s in 100000 pieces!!! Couldn’t even put it back together? Also, while my husband was on the phone with the mechanic, he told him he’s using his equipment “wrong”. Will NEVER go back, and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Brutal service and terrible hours. Between these guys, Home Depot, and Ryobi for a simple warranty battery replacement, I'm ready to have a stroke. First time I went they were closed - on a Saturday. 2nd time there, by 5pm on a week day, I'm told my receipt and battery is not enough. I need a tool to match serial numbers. 3rd time there - same guy tells me that I need receipt, battery, tool, and now the charger. He also tells me I'm wrong - that he must have told me that I needed the battery charger too. Ryobi at least told me that Yarmand Tech is also one of their authorized dealers....and they are open Saturdays.

If I could give less stars I would,I went there to have an impact drill and circular saw fixed, I started talking to the lady there which was a decently pleasant conversation and she called the repair guy into the conversation who I believe is the owner and it started to go bad from there, I brought my saw in because the blade was wobbling a bit when using, he proceeded to tell me in all his experience he has never seen that and had to argue to him to please take the tool and check it out , the impact drill had a bad switch and asked him to replace that and informed him that if there are any costs as I expected everything was under warranty to not do the work and let me know I would deal with it, I got a call about 3 weeks later saying he was not able to fix impact because there was no problem with it another argument ensued to insist to him to look it over again and find the problem (the tool would stop working at random times) and the saw was ready , they called me back a couple of weeks later and told me both tools were repaired and they were ready for pick ,I confirmed no charge for both repairs, he then called me back about 2 hours later and told me there was a mistake and the drill was still waiting for parts, they then called me back about 2 weeks later and told me both tools repaired and I again confirmed no charge, When I went into the store to pick up my tools he presented me with a bill of $84 and change , There was a nic in my cord so he said that was a safety issue had to be changed , $24 for a cord $3 for a bolt and some other item for $2 and $45 for labour, here goes another argument , his response was to remove the cord he installed and the bolt and give me back my saw in pieces , I brought him a fully functional saw and he gave it back me non functional and in pieces where all he had to do is cut off about a foot of cord to where the nic was and reinstall, they also inscribed numbers on the top of my impact which would not be able to be removed unless it is sanded out, during one of our conversation he felt the need to ask me I quote "what do you expect you bought the cheapest quality of Milwaukee", these were both Milwaukee tools,he also told me to F%!@#% off up about 3 times and flipped me the bird in front of my kids, you may be thinking I might have gotten all hot and started a ruckus but the harshest thing i said to him is that I gave him a working tool and he returned it broken, he banned me from returning to his store thinking somehow in his delusional state of mind that I would ever return after that incident , this is not a shop you want to go to , got to Ottawa fastener or Jean Cayer. this guy is brutal as has been mentioned by other reviewers it was very stressing dealing with this shop.

Go up
