I have been building a small house for the past 4 months and I have purchased a great deal of products from Rona Belleville. I have appreciated the VIP membership so much.
Tanya has checked me out at least 90% of the time. She always has a smile and greets me when I come through the door. She is fast, efficient, accurate and always friendly.

I purchased Christmas lights from Rona+ in Belleville on December 23—two sets of mini lights and a roll of LEDs. The LED lights flickered so badly they were unusable, so I kept the mini lights and planned to return the LEDs. On December 29, I went to return them, only to be told they couldn’t be returned because of a “holiday item return policy.” This so-called policy was never communicated at purchase and is only written on a random sign in the returns area. The lights were unused, in their original packaging, and I had my receipt—but none of that mattered.

This store has completely fallen apart. Self-checkout is the only option, staff are nowhere to be found, and when you do manage to track someone down, they act like you’re inconveniencing them just by existing. Common sense and basic customer service have been obliterated, replaced by rude, dismissive employees enforcing nonsensical policies with zero flexibility.

Rona+ has lost me as a customer for good. This was my go-to hardware and appliance store, but now I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. If you value your time, money, or sanity, shop elsewhere.

UPDATE:

To make matters worse, I contacted their so-called “customer support,” only to receive a generic email apologizing for the “inconvenience” and offering a 10% discount on a future online purchase. A discount I don’t want, on products I’ll never buy from them again, is an insult—not a solution. It doesn’t address the issue at all and further highlights how disconnected they are from actual customer service.

Response Email:

“We deeply apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced. Since the purchase was made in-store, it is subject to the store's return policy. We requested an exception for a replacement of your damaged item, but unfortunately, the store has refused.

However, if you're interested, the offer for a 10% discount on your next purchase still stands. This discount is valid for up to a maximum of $100 for regular items and $50 for major appliances.”

Wanted to buy baseboard. Only had required size in 12' lengths. Too long for my van. Apparently, they have no way on site to cut them. Only suggestion was delivery for $80.... ya right.

This is the Rona to go to, they have everything, and multiples of it. Clean store, huge parking, definitely worth the drive if you're from out of town! We tried to find something in the next town over closer to us, but they didn't have it in stock. Even though the website said they did! We came here, not only do they have what we wanted, it was also cheaper than we expected! Sad to say, even cheaper than home hardware which was always our go-to store in the past.

I was there two months ago to purchase some plumbing supplies for my daughter’s mud kitchen. I was there to get attachments for the sink to connect it to the hose and to find some more parts to allow the water to drain from the kitchen properly. I had no idea what I needed or how to do it, but Ryan from the plumbing department was awesome. He took the time to find each part I needed and explained what to install all the parts. My daughter’s kitchen turned out amazing and it’s all thanks to Ryan for his help. Thank you Ryan!

Lots if good items here and pro desk is great however i had 5 different customers walk up to me and ask if i worked there to help them, know what your after and where its located before going here it will save you alot of time and frustration rather than waiting or looking for a helper to speak with, I personally have no interest in interrupting the employees in there group chats around the store to help me. Rona plus find customers to help instead of us finding you

Bought a BBQ walked in went to service desk in BBQ area as we already picked one out from home Depot but they were sold out We walked in received help instantly told the guy what we wanted he made a order we payed and they delivered it few days later excellent customer service didn't realize it wasn't Lowe's anymore but was very happy with the service from Rona from start to finish can't remember the guy's name but very professional definitely shop there again
