I have been trying all of the burger places in Abilene when I come to town & this one is now in my top 3.
I got the Swiss melt with extra crispy bacon, which was a great pick.
The burger was a smash burger with crispy edges, seasoned & cooked to perfection. The Bun was soft & delicious. The bacon was was crisp & flavorful, I would love to know what type of bacon they use, because it would be the only brand I'd ever buy.

The service was excellent, the young man behind the counter was fun with a great sense of humor & helpful.

I will definitely be back.

Great burger spot with great service! Definitely some creative burgers and the jalapeño popper burger I had was one of the best I’ve had. They have a pretty extensive menu and extremely helpful staff. Would highly recommend.

Turtleman’s is a great addition to Potosi! The food was incredible, though the buns were a bit thick and dry for the thin smash burger style patties. Service was excellent, with staff checking on us often. The prices are very reasonable also.

The table layout could be improved; a center rail forces tables close together, making it feel like you’re sitting with strangers. This setup is less of an issue during slower times but can detract from the experience when it’s busy if you don’t enjoy sitting with people you don’t know.

Nice to have another option outside of town. Food was solid and service was quick. Burgers are smash style. Fries are thin straight cut, not crispy. Onion rings were not paper thin and not over battered.

Four stars is not for anything done wrong. Just variety of review.

Everything we ordered was fantastic! I had a cheeseburger with onions rings, and my husband had the egg burger with fries. We loved the smash burger. The turtleman's sauce was delicious. The onion rings were perfect, thin and not over battered. The food came out quickly on a Sunday after church, and there was a man walking around checking on people. The kids' meals came with fries and a drink. Our boys had a corn dog and chicken strips.

Overall, it was a great experience, and we will definitely be back again!

Hubby and I decided to try Turtleman's tonight. We were not disappointed! We ordered 2 Popper burger combos and cheese sticks. The burgers were juicy, well seasoned and delicious! The fries were good, slightly salted and had a good flavor. The cheese sticks though...that is a block of cheese cut in half, breaded and fried! They are huge! I could not eat mine because I was stuffed after the burger and fries, but my hubby said it was delicious! We will be back! Wish they would open a location in Merkel, wouldn't be such a drive for us then...

We are visiting family for Thanksgiving weekend and stopped in for lunch. Everything was awesome. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Between all of us we had the smash, double smash, swiss, and popper burgers. We also got to try the cheese sticks, which were super good (we are Wisconsin people - we know and love our cheese!). I think they have a good thing going here - highly recommend!
